At the end of 2017, Lyghtesome Gallery closed its doors after 42 years in business on Main St. in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. We intend to continue to have an online presence and work with artists in various ways. In the meantime, our new website is under construction. Jeff and Beth Parker, from Lyghtesome Gallery, received the ACA Outstanding Artist(s) Award.
“It’s important to recognize them after they’ve dedicated so much time [to the arts],” GoArts co-ordinator TJ Ediger.

Beth and Jeff’s lovingly maintained Lyghtesome Gallery which is filled with art of the finest quality. First opened in 1975, it is the longest running private gallery in the province outside Halifax.

Our Story
Serving the arts community of Antigonish and the Northern Shore region of Nova Scotia since 1975, Lyghtesome Gallery has now closed it’s brick and mortar gallery effective January 1, 2018. Lyghtesome will continue to promote, highlight and represent a number of Artists at Lyghesome.com Lyghtesome has been a forerunner in promoting well-known Antigonish artists and other leading artists from across the Maritimes through its monthly exhibit schedule. The gallery features an outstanding collection of works by Nova Scotian printmakers and watercolourists, as well as award- winning pottery, wood, clay and metal sculpture, art-related books and cards, historic engravings of Scottish culture and the Atlantic region, and celtic artwork. Lyghtesome’s custom framing services represent the highest in quality craftsmanship and artistic integrity.
