“THE INNER EYE” Annual Solo Show of Recent Work by Linda Johns

these manifestations in time, to the unchanging realities of eternity.”

Featured are works by Linda Johns produced in 2002: acrylic paintings on paper
and pen and ink drawings in hand carved frames by nationally known artist,
writer and naturalist Linda Johns. This visionary artist, whose unique life
and artwork have been featured on CBC and Discovery Channel documentaries,
explores the enduring invisible forces at work within the visible world, integrating
archetypal symbolism with her knowledge of and sensitivity to the energies
and life-forms of nature. “The Inner Eye” is Linda Johns' 27th annual
solo show held at Lyghtesome Gallery.
ANTIGONISH AREA ARTISTS: Annual Group Exhibit

Held every summer for the past twenty –seven years, this exhibit highlights the work of painters, printmakers, and sculptors who live and work in Antigonish and the surrounding area, providing an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to view the remarkable breadth & diversity of the ever-growing Antigonish artist community. This year there are new potters and other homegrown surprises.

Exhibit featuring printmakers associated with the gallery who work in a wide range of mediums, including etching, linocut, lithography, serigraph and wood-engraving. This group exhibit is organized annually to provide a representative glimpse at printmaking in the Maritimes and to give regular gallery artists an opportunity to feature new work or their “best of the year” selection. Look forward to contributions from Cape Breton and places ever further afield.

OF WOOD
Painted Carvings by William Roach

The exhibit of carvings by William Roach is entitled "For the LOVE of
WOOD" and will be on display at Lyghtesome Gallery from November 4 -
30. On Friday, November 22nd at 7:00pm. in the Celtic Room at the Maritime
Inn, next door to the gallery, William Roach will give a public talk and demonstration
on wood carving.
